if by extreme you mean high amplitude, then sure, generally loud communication is considered more hostile
if by rapid you mean short wavelength, then it could indicate hostility, but also something like nervousness

Technically we mix different systems of oscillations though. I'm speaking more to physical or mechanical touch, like could pressing a plant in a certain way be used to gauge whether its stressed or relaxed. Maybe even fungi.

I'm thinking square waves would be more hostile. If you listen to them it's a harsher sound than sine or triangle. It's not a waveform that occurs in nature so it could be saying "we're a technologically advanced civilization so don't fuck with us".

Like you're trying to communicate something specific, maybe serious. The difference between the peaks and troughs doesn't doesn't seem clear enough to signal hostility, but the sharp rather than gradual shifts suggest deliberate emphasis on points of expression.

Interesting supposition. I think the Sine wave is neutral in both visual and audio perspectives, because there isn't a sudden "shift" in the wave.

Square is assertive, strong
Triangle is deep, passive
Sawtooth is aggressive, rampant

Sawtooth is the more hostile of those, I'm not sure what you mean by "extreme waves", but I guess it has something to do with it's decay, which is pretty extreme
