Unironically rice.
Rice cant be broken down in your digestive tract normally, as it's a starch which even our digestive enzymes (amylase) break down. So rice essentially passes through most of your digestive tracts unharmed until it reaches the colon, where bacteria break it down and it gets absorbed. The rice has to sit in your colon for a while though, so if Asians got diverticulitis it would probably kill them on a majority rice diet.
The right side of your colon doesn't come into contact with food very often, so diverticulitis there probably wont become deadly.
