I remember reading an old 4chan post from a phd student who's conducted IQ research, maybe on prisoners. The anon stated that under a certain IQ, I think 80-85, people have no way of understanding hypothetical questions. For instance, if you ask a person with a low IQ what would they feel like if their car got stolen, they would say something along the lines of "but my car didn't get stolen" and would just talk in circles the more you tried to get a real answer from them.
