Are his books and notes any good if I want an introduction to physics or should I just read regular textbooks? I already have good enough mathematical background for all three books and his lecture notes on general relativity cosmology and statistical mechanics.

Check out David Tong's lectures.
Baumann's lectures on cosmology are also excellent.

try Physics for Dummies first. (everybody who writes books on subjects are scholars, you don't need to instantly go for the top notch to understand things). Unless he is Dawkins who purposely writes books for entry level readers and people who are just interested. Why reading shit from top notch scientists. I have plenty of books with 120p. Max on subjects because I'm not going to read 900 pages on shit I don't even understand. Are you stupid or something?. Member how long it took in highschool to even get good grades in physics and math? Reading that shit over and over again?. What do you think?. That you suddenly can read papers and intellectual lecture on everything you're interested in?.

To get a grasp on what you read you just study in a subject. Otherwise it will never make sense to you. Being accountant or lawyer suddenly reading Suskind on Physics or Gerard t Hoofd. You're not getting a grasp, you will never understand what you're reading.
