lmao i kinda do the same thing, i get stressed and my mind feels frantic although i don't just skim through everything, i just get stuck. as a kid i don't remember getting this stress and mental block with new, difficult material. i think its something that school gives us. i've been trying to get over it, i could learn so much more if i could just go at it with a clear, focused head instead of letting my eyes glaze over while preoccupied with stress and ending up on 4chan or jerking off to relieve it.

Stop thinking that reading equals learning. Write down notes of what you read formulated in a different way, it's the only way to guarantee you don't have gaps in your knowledge. Also, start learning for fun instead of the grades
