The observable universe is 93 billion light years in diameter, but only 13.7 billion years old. Is it just me, or does one of these metrics have to be false for the other to be true? Even if you want to claim that the universe expanded faster than the speed of light for some period of time, how can we “observe” parts of the universe that are so far away that the light has taken longer than the existence of said universe to reach us?
