Not if you take an a1 blocker (brexpiprazole) or sigma 1 agonist like luvox which blunts amphetamine's MOA, methylphenidate is a very euphoric sigma 1 agonist and it decreases cytosolic dopamine, redistributes and long term upregulates vmat2 unlike old toxic amphetamine which causes long term DA depletion and redistributes vmat2 in a toxic way
