Bezos is literally the worst of the two but Elon gets way more spotlight. Why? Elon is more active on twitter and more actively engaged with SpaceX, Tesla, and the followers between the two sectors in which his companies are on the cutting edge and the rest are circling the drain of the old guard.
There's a LOT of fucking salt in the institutional players, because over the years they've bet insane amounts of money on both his companies failing (all so they could eventually buy them up and whore up the assets and IPs for the next 100 years)--only for the exact opposite to happen and they themselves to lose dozens of billions instead. Musk also is unafraid to clap back the government when they start shit with him, and SpaceX's success is as much a result of their engineering talent as it is of Elon and SpaceX suing the government over the ULA monopoly position granted by USAF via unfair competitive practices. Elon is unironically the most counter culture person in the West, something that hits all the checklists for the counter culture of the Democratic west, but his wealth and talent is guarded by an absolute requirement of pure meritocracy and has total disregard for diversity quotas and other contrarian bullshit that impedes the mission of making life multiplanetary and accelerating the sustainable future of the human race beyond its war prone dependence on fossil fuels.
He pisses off Dems cause he's everything they champion about while simultaneously being unafraid of humiliating them for being wrong on the world stage. Much of governing leadership for decades has lived in ivory towers smugly pissing and shitting on the commons below. Along comes another just like them, who's tearing down their kingdoms by using the wealth of his ivory tower to push the commons to a future where they won't have AS MUCH control.
