The only thing it needs is enlightenment, but somehow forcing it on others does not compute in my mind. Isn't it about time we admit that gaining more and more mastery over matter is a fool's errand? Why is the world still driven by the mentality of a freezing, starving caveman?

I would make a copy of all pdf file son the z-archive. OCR every file, extract all text to text files. Build a massive database that contains all the text files and add an public search frontend to it. Publish the website online and use all the money to pay for lawyers and a small amount for the hardware and domain name. After a while I would also add data like the general search index to the data pool or download al MIT lectures and pptx presentations and also convert them to text and add them.

Remind me again why we are pouring a crazy amount of resources into building extravagant cities in the deserts?
