Listen recent or soon to graduates to my words carefully. Never do test engineering. I worked as a test engineer since I graduated so about 5 years and now whenever I apply to places they push me into their test engineer position.

Or they dont even tell me and give me interviews for the test engineer position and I find out on the fly during the interview its not the position I applied for.
