Have there been any studies into the age that a woman's skin most attractive to men? I've seen sexologists handwavingly claim that men find soft smooth skin attractive because it indicates female "youth" and "fertility" without explaining what is meant exactly by "youth" and "fertility". I imagine they probably mean mid-twenties or so because that's when a single act of intercourse is most likely to result in conception. If this is what they mean then I think they've got it very wrong.

The age that a woman's skin is at its most attractive is much lower than that. Women are using tiktok filters to make their skin look smoother and softer like a child's because they know men find it more attractive. They shave their bodies to look smooth and hairless like a child. And we used to have adverts like this promising to give women "baby soft" skin. Men wouldn't be interested in having baby soft immature-looking skin.

It would be nice if someone could run an actual study into this. Just show men a selection of skins from girls and women of all different ages and ask them to rate them. I think the skin of girls about 12 would get the highest ratings. Before puberty the skin is soft and smooth but has a kind of milky texture. When puberty kicks in the hormones give the skin a kind of glow or sparkle which fades by adulthood.
