>>14224428>Men and women are equally subjective or objective as stallion/mareHow dare you assume my horse's gender? I work on a horse ranch and we have an Arabian that the veterinarian assigned gender to as "male". I call her Missy. From the time she was a "colt", she was different from the cisgender colts and stud horses. She responded better to a gentle approach, easily accomodated inexperienced riders and as she matured, never mounted any of the mares. She was not at all hard to break, as the all the cis-stallions were. I found a vet who performed gender reassignment surgery on her (which he, crude and unenlightened as he was, called a "gelding operation"). Typically ignorant as most horse vets are, he wouldn't even prescribe female hormones. I had to get her estrogen on my own, which fortunately, is widely available through the mail (though I'd have had a tougher time getting testosterone had it been a mare-to-stallion transition).
The screwed-up thing about this whole situation is that the horse racing association is not letting her run in mares' races. They say she would have an "unfair advantage". Fucking bigots.
