My PI said they don't really expect anything but might be pleasantly surprised.
So far no one has given me much direction, my PI has given me some research ideas but we never have any of the materials needed to follow through on his ideas. I'm just sort of wrapping up a discontinued research project.
The grad students I work with seem suicidal and want to minimally interact with me. I go to the lab some days and literally don't know what to do.
