>>14227811>Your body loves sugar because the conversion process is the most simple and yields the easiest energy.that's not the only reason at all
it's also because it requires less oxygen and is more efficient, both of which contribute to far less oxidative stress in general
there are many other reasons too, but we can keep this simple
>Sugar is not a nutrient thoughyes, it's the most essential nutrient for the human body to function
hint: macronutrients are also nutrients
>It's just an easy ATP reaction.this is a strange formulation that makes me suspect that you at best only have superficial knowledge about how exactly the body converts carbohydrate into usable ATP
>You still need proteins, minerals, and fibrous carbs for complete digestion.I never said anything else
you also need certain vitamin complexes, not to mention water, and there are many other secondary metabolites found in fruits which are also vital for optimal health
the point was rather that sugar is still the most essential nutrient, and most supermarket fruits typically being extremely deficient in sugar compared to the wild and ancient tropical fruits we've evolved on for tens of millions of years, thus that most people would greatly benefit from supplementing their fruits with refined sugar (I personally add 50-100 grams of sugar to each 1-liter bottle of fruit juice I drink, typically orange juice, and I drink 2-3 liters daily)
>Sugar's oxidative stress is the highest of all foods.this is blatantly false, as explained above
in fact, that's the diametric opposite of the truth, and one of the reasons sugar is so ideal is because it's the least oxidatively stressful source of energy
fatty acid metabolism is by far what leads to the most oxidative stress, it's not even comparable (this is in fact why the brain can't use fatty acids for its metabolism at all, it can use ketones that are produced elsewhere in times of emergency, but this isn't ideal either, especially not long-term)
