>>14204158How do you make it? As in illegally produce LSD?
This guy
>>14204636 is sort of right, sort of wrong. Compared to the majority of other common drugs, LSD is more difficult to make, but it is by no means necessary to have a doctorate in chemistry or other bullshit. Apparently it's just a moderately difficult partial synthesis, but there are some routes that require no heating or stirring (one famous LSD chemist who was arrested in the 2000s, Casey Hardison iirc, used something called PyBOP for this synthesis route)
The big issue with LSD manufacture is the main precursor. LSD is a fairly large molecule, derived from Lysergic Acid, which is produced by types of Claviceps fungi. If you wanna make acid, you need Lysergic Acid, and that's why most people can't/won't produce it despite the fact it's the most economical drug for a clandestine chemist to produce due to its extremely high potency by weight.
Lysergic Acid CAN be totally synthesized, but in extremely low yield. As in fractions of a single percent yield from starting materials. The synthesis is likely long and capricious anyway, and likely precluded by difficulty for an amateur, clandestine chemist.
The only other option is to get it from the fungi yourself. While I'm sure there are many novel ways of doing this, from various Lysergic Acid producing species, the way the big players like Sandoz do it, is they have strains of the Claviceps purpurea that have been engineered as producer strains to make Lysergic Acid for pharmaceutical needs and research. I don't know if anybody has ever successfully started a Claviceps farm or somesuch from wild fungi, or if the endeavor would even yield enough Lysergic Acid to be reasonable, but I think this book
>>14204314 does mention it.
I don't imagine clandestine drug synthesis is for the feint of heart, but if you figure it out then be sure to let every glowie on this board know.
