I really want to know the truth behind this talking point used by some guys. I can see why it could be true, but I'm not sure. I hope there have been other scientific papers on this.

The main takeaway from this dataset is not anything about attraction. The main thing shown here is that men know what "most" and "least" mean, and women act as if they don't. The distribution from most to least has to be a bell curve, by definition. The female distribution isn't bell shaped not because of anything having to with attractiveness. It's that they respond as if they don't know what the words mean.

Yes but I believe this only happens when they get older, why would a girl in her 20's factor in anything else but hotness? It's not like in average she would be needing for money from anyone.
