>>14203924Why are there so many lead simping retards on 4chan? I swear I see people saying lead isn't dangerous at all every fucking week on this god-forsaken site. Every fucking board except /k/.
>>14200901Lead will fuck you up if it gets into you in any notable quantity, especially your kids. That said it's hard to get a whole lot into you these days since people realized how horrible the effects of lead actually are so there's not much out there. Shooting, especially at indoor ranges, exposes you to a lot of lead particulate.
Again, it's hard to get into you since Lead kind of doesn't really permeate skin, it only gets in via mucous membranes and general respiratory stuff. So realistically all you have to do is wash up after shooting and you're fine and make sure you wash your clothes. Even if you don't then like other Anons are saying it's such a small amount that it doesn't mean anything with any single exposure, but over time you're correct that it does pose a risk as it does build up and remain in your system for a very long time once it's in there.
I work in a lead rich environment (gun range). I can't tell you the action, but I can tell you that D-Lead works better to remove lead from surfaces than any other shit we've tried so as far as I'm concerned you have the right stuff. Only notes I'd add that people won't consider is to wash/throw away any masks you might use on the range, and wash any jackets you would use on the range if you can (the former always the latter occasionally).
Also I've heard that Vitamin C helps with processing lead, but I don't know if that's pure fudlore or not. I take a multivitamin anyway so I'm covered there. Finally like
>>14204826 said, lead is in water too in a lot of places. Get a filter setup and get your water tested to make sure it works!
Don't be afraid of it, but don't think it isn't a toxic chemical and mitigate your long term exposure where reasonable.
>>14201071Correct.
