I taught in Pakistan for a while. Physics texts all started with lengthy 5-page praises to Allah, denunciations of unbe;ievers, and the caution that physical laws did not exist as they could be undone on Allah's whim.
Had a Physics MA who had no idea who Einstein was. The engineering students were as bad, very good at rote calculation but blind to the unexpected or context.
Somewhat like students in China, where I also taught. Just replace Muhammad with Marx and there you go. Had an old Chinese PhD argue that--wait for it--physical laws were arbitrary and time was the result of capitalist conspiracies.
Younger students are better, though. But now you know why their engineering students build all those collapsing buildings. It's equally bad in Pakistan and Islamic counties, just not newsworthy.
Look up Burj Khalifa waste system sometime. It's a metaphor for Islamo-socialism and all other socialisms. The whole society works like that because their minds have been twisted to work like that...
