I read somewhere that this brain difference is only found in straight trans people (who used to be gay men/lesbian women before transition). Trans lesbians (who used to be straight men) have the same brains as other straight men. Sapolsky's referenced study was probably done back when you had to be psychologically approved over 2 years of therapy before transition, when gender dysphoria was a requirement and being attracted to women as a MtF disqualified you.

Finding a difference in the brain structure of addicts doesn't mean you've found the cause of their addiction - you may instead have found an effect. We know that sticking people in solitary confinement for long periods effects brain structure. No one has their altered brains to be the cause of their solitary confinement.

Sapolsky isn't a totally bad guy, but he's "playing the game". This stuff is propaganda. Your diet can affect your cognition. But that also means that genetic factors about how you process certain foods can also cause long-term changes to brain structure, as opposed to them being intrinsic factors of your brain - but also just because those factors are genetic doesn't mean that they can't be remedied through diet or medication.

My primary issue with Sapolsky is that he has all the tools required to understand the human condition, but he blatantly prefers a pro-social bias when there is no reason at all to do so outside of the very human condition he is aware of. He doesn't surpass anything, he just swims in the shit. He has stated that he doesn't understand philosophy, and he probably does, but he is unable to accept any of it because he has such an overwhelming bias for pro-social behavior, when, in reality, this is just a construct of a game that we can stop playing at any time.

The guy is an imbecile. Genetic data absolutely does not support this view. It's on the order of 2%. Irrespective of the prevalence of sexual infidelity, it rarely results in offspring. The 10 to 40% figure is based on a biased sample (men who already suspect they were cheated on/the child isn't theirs). But brains clearly change durimg development.
It would be more interesting if there was scans done of trans people a few years into their transition against a control done at 10 age year intervals.
You could conduct another one that looks at the changes in the brain over time when "transitioning".
My point is that i suspect that the hormones or lack of, changes their brain over time and at different rates depending on the age.
Some other things to look out for would be mental illness affecting the study. Which would make it hard as most "trans" people have diagnosed mental illnesses.

This won't happen.
