I don't understand. How is it possible to just stop existing?
What are the last experiences of a dying brain like? It just ends?
How is it possible? Nothingness? It's as if nothing ever existed at all. How can anything ever have existed without an observer? How can it just end?

you turn your computer or phone off all the time and don't give two shits about it, dying is almost certainly no different

if you've ever been put under for surgery or a procedure then that's also almost certainly what dying is like. you have basically no awareness of when it happens, and even when you are brought back you don't really have a memory of the moment your brain just shuts off. at the very best your brain might fire off randomly in those last few seconds of awareness in delirium and that's a well documented effect you can look into, if you want to cling to some notion of an 'out of body experience' to cope with how utterly banal and boring dying is.
