Dragon 2 has short term life support, Starship will have long term
SpaceX doesn't have their own astronauts but they have the capability to support long duration EVAs and this will be integral to the Artemis moonship
SpaceX doesn't run their own experiments the same way NASA and Roscosmos does, but if you can claim roscosmos has been studying "30 years of space welding experiments" then I can say doing starship hops and studying a new TPS and in-orbit fuelling is way more important to space flight overall
