>>14200309>immersive daydreamingSeems like it's pretty similar to maladaptive daydreaming, which I sometimes wonder if I have. I can spend five hours pacing around my room imagining some random scenario. Pretty fun indeed, but sometimes it's frustrating how much time it takes up.
>I guess cause the amygdala is over-primed for fear/negativityI see, I definitely have that too. Watching scary things can make me anxious for the whole day, especially if it's psychological horror type stuff, so I try to avoid it most of the time. I've never heard of the concept of alief, that's rather interesting. I wonder if some people are more likely to have a dissonance in their aliefs and beliefs, I find it's a common theme in my life where I may "know" something is safe or good but still be unable to do it due to negative aliefs.
Based ancient Greeks, somehow I'm not surprised they pretty much invented waifuism. I guess it only makes sense, their society was pretty advanced and it's not as though evolution has had enough time to make humans much different in 2,000 years.
>>14200326Yeah, that might be kind of where this all originates. Humans are evolutionarily primed to believe in a higher being, some would just rather that be a cute immortal vampire.
