>>14192868>we spent a century plus marching west, pushing the natives out, and replacing them with people from Europe. This is just a far-right conspiracy that is being pushed by indigenous nationalists who are hateful and intolerant towards other ethnic groups. These people hate diversity and other cultures, because they believe in the supremacy of the Native American race, and the false notion that this land uniquely "belongs" to Native Americans, to the exclusion of any other racial groups or cultures. In reality, land cannot "belong" to a particular race. This is a discredited notion that has it's roots in colonialistic and white supremacist ideas, and was in fact championed by the Nazi party in 1930s Germany under the moniker of "blood and soil". In reality, the European settlers enriched American culture and brought with them a diversity of ideas and identities that made the American continent a more vibrant place for all of it's residents and citizens. Furthermore, many of these European settelrs were themselves fleeing persecution, war, and famine, and economic hardship. Literally millions of people were torture, imprisoned, and executed in Europe during the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Early Modern period. Many of the European immigrants who moved to the Americas were fleeing persecution and even death at the hands of far-right religious fanatics and authoritarian regimes, that plagued the European continent for centuries. There were certainly confrontations and hostilities between the new European immigrants and the American natives, but of course if look at literally millions of people over the course of nearly 4 centuries, you are going to be able to cherry pick example of crime, conflict, and turmoil, but that is all part and parcel of living in a society. In reality, the vast majority of contact between European immigrants and the indigenous population was peaceful, and the Europeans and Native Americans became key trading partners.
