Can excess total mortality be explained by boomers aging out of life?

We see an uptick in life insurance payouts and funeral home clients etc. This is to be expected with baby boomers finally dying off as they hit old age.

That generation was particularly susceptible to disease. Especially Diabetes and heart disease from eating stuff like trans fat and sugar for 50 years.
