How much political propaganda were you forced to consume during your education?
Forcing students to view political propaganda when they should be learning math and science will hinder progress in the long term, so why are children forced to view CNN?

Showing clips from CNN and Fox News reporting on the same event and comparing what information they present or don't present to show how the presentation of information can be manipulated to impart bias onto the listener could be a good lesson for high school civics. Using CNN as an actual authoritative source is what happens when you have teachers that are interested in indoctrination rather than teaching.
