Wolfram’s Theory of the Universe

What does /sci/ think of it?
Basically, the universe is like a computer and what we see are “pixels” on a “screen.” What’s going on underneath that (beneath the quantum level I mean) is basically a bunch of interconnected nodes that Wolfram calls Olygons. His theory says that there are trillions of “rules” like code that determine which nodes are connected to which, and these interconnected nodes make up every structure in the universe.
I probably did a terrible job explaining that but it’s extremely interesting.
I also know that this theory makes Stephen Wolfram’s physicist colleagues absolutely fucking SEETHE, which is weird because relativity and quantum mechanics both fit into this theory as sets of rules governing the interconnectedness of the nodes.
