This would be the most cost-efficient solution. Especially regarding the progress made in molten salt and fusion reactors. Some renewables energy parks may be cost efficient too if the localisation fits.

The plant has 2 or 3 chained cooling loops. The primary loop is what goes through the reactor itself (green in attached). This then exchanges heat with a secondary loop which never touches radiation and turns the steam turbine/generator. Then you have a 3rd "loop" (which is generally open). This is used to cool down the 2nd loop's water so you don't get cavitation.
The other anon has a point...but only for some plant designs (ones that grab water from a river or similar). However, other plant designs use the water in the atmosphere to help cool while others are 100% natural convection (i.e. fully sealed).

The only evidence found so far is potential tissue damage caused by additives. I’m not presuming that microplastic is harmless, but it certainly is less threatening than it’s made out to be based on the fact that nothing direct has been found so far and you can easily regulate additives while the harmful ones dissipate.

I would use sodium cooled fast reactors its very expensive to build with one plant with 4 1000MW reactors costing around 15 billion but you can get your money back within 10 years or so.

Maintenance wise I wouldn't build 2 large 5000MW++ SFR plants any sodium leaks it could go kaboom which is very bad. Anyways most 4th generation reactors have a critical flaw in them which makes operating them very expensive.
