I am convinced civil, mechanical and electrical engineering are the only respectful and apolitical STEM fields left, with civil being the most based of them all due to the construction chad crossover

I have no idea what civil engineers are trained to do.
I worked primarily with and under civil engineers doing water testing for the government and they didn't understand basic chemistry.

I graduated with a MSME a few months ago, there were heavy-handed top-down pushes to promote wokism, but it didn't seem like they were getting that much traction.

When it comes to engineering, you have to do things that actually work, so it might be harder to impress ideology on them.
