Some of the exercises take a while to see, but unless you're doing the Galois theory stuff, none of it is too bad, and even then, the Galois / imaginary number fields material is just more heavy on computation of very key relationships. There's a reason why computational group theory and ring theory are pretty big now - these relationships are deep but get complex to probe unless you understand how to tackle it with computer science.
