My understanding is that flight attendants are considered to be radiation workers, but that was something I didn't hear through a credible source. Why is this not talked about more? I would imagine that we have plenty of data by now to either confirm or deny a trend in cancer diagnosis amongst such workers. I've been tempted to bring my handheld geiger counter on my next flight, but a) I don't want to cause any alarm for someone that might not know what it is, b) I'm honestly a bit afraid of what I'll find out from taking measurements.
