German maths grad schools

is anyone here familiar with the German mathematical landscape? i am a bachelor maths student at Erlangen (not German myself, though) who will probably finish his studies in a year and i've been thinking about where i'd like to continue my studies (ideally i'd like to get a PhD)
i know that Bonn and LMU/TUM are considered to have strong maths departments, what are some others that come to mind? strangely, i've heard of this (afaik) small university of Kaiserslautern that was established only in the 70s, but has a strong department. i've also heard of the Berlin School of Mathematics, who have this compound graduate programme where you can do a masters+PhD at once in ~4 years or something like that. anything you guys would like to share?
