buddhism, at least as it is written in Tipitaka is simply a training system to achieve Unbinding or Nibbana in this life if that is possible.
you cannot have read the Tipitaka to say these things.
i agree that some places with "buddhists" who don't even read the tipitaka nor even believe in the things in it and in many cases havent even heard about it and are actually practicing contrary to it can seem like a "death cult" or NPC.
