During the middle-school years the boy and girl bell-curves practically overlap. Things like this get cited by The Science ™ to prove definitively that females are intellectually equal to males.
However, there's an R-correlation between brain size and IQ of about 0.4, and men have larger brains. In the case of Asian and White adult men, they average about 4 IQ points higher than their adult women counterparts. However, Black men score about the same as Black women.

The people that set the agenda for the direction of society, those that weave a narrative in the minds of our school children, want to reduce the human population levels. They tell their subordinates it's for the environment, but really it's to tighten control. Automation will replace their need to have large numbers of humans on the human farms we call nations, and they'd rather not have a situation were a small percentage of the population rebelling could overthrow their intended world-state.
There's many beliefs pushed on children to get the birth rate down, and one of them is feminist careerism. Instead of planning to be mothers, girls are encouraged to be programmers, engineers, and corporate executives. Normally, female disinterest and under-performance in these areas would blunt this plan, but some traction is gained by conditioning children to believe women are in fact equal or better at these tasks (at pain of social ostrication to say otherwise), and are being held back by the invisible influence of the patriarchy. This inter-gender antagonism can also serve to help lower birthrates, and justifies spending lots of money and opportunity cost on egalitarian fallacies designed to undermine the population.
