I know what I want to ask. I just don't understand how evolutionary psychology recognizes emergence of culturally-enforced monogamy which seems to be diminishing reproductive success of high-status men (which actually enforced it and came up with the whole idea)

Also the whole theory seems to be making too far fetched claims. It usually goes like this

>something is observed
>hypothesis is formed around it
>hypothesis is proven true
>SO here's how it MIGHT HAVE been useful in evolutionary past despite there being absolutely no way to actually check to see if this is how it was

At the same time I'm afraid these questions actually have very easy explanations so I don't want to waste her time
