>>14171216yeah. particles have phase, and each path gives a different phase advance. paths that are physically likely constructively interfere, while paths that aren't physically likely destructively interfere. there can even be things that happen along the paths like a particle changing into other particles. everything that can happen is considered.
i like to think that the feynman path integral has "flying unicorn" terms that are so highly improbable that they don't need to be considered in application, but are still there.
