>>14166695What do these results look like when you take out the useless/"I want to go to college for the lifestyle" degrees (psychology, philosophy, art, etc).
When I was in sixth form/highschool, the census was pretty much:
Women: I want to go uni for (99% the types of degrees mentioned above)
Men: about 50% only wanted to go uni for STEM, the rest just wanted to work instead.
If you asked the men about going to uni for the degrees the women wanted to do, 95% would say "fuck no that's stupid".
My point is men only go for degrees if it's worth it, women are going college for the sake of it (least is "to be a strong independent woman!", most is finding a rich college husband)
