I dunno, you lose sensation pretty quickly with frostbite. Freezing probably isn't too bad of a way to go.

^ this. alcohol dilates blood vessels making them larger so blood can get to the extremities easier, which warms up those extremities but also lowers your body's core heat and hastens hypothermia.
Only drink alcohol once you are safe indoors and warming up with an external heat source.
Many drunks have died from exposure, getting drunk and passing out in just 60F weather at night.
