You are trying to say that two pseudo-scientific concepts contradict each other? How could this happen? I thought pseudo-science was a coherent system!
And jokes aside, they don't contradict each other. A selfish gene and a selfish individual are two different things. Hell, even selfish individuals make use of group strategies if they think it's their best available option to reach their selfish goals.
