Psychology is soft science because the definitions change far too much over time and it relies far too much on subjective descriptions of symptoms.

Theoretical physics and economics are both processions "But wait, there's more!" whenever the theory fails at something (who would abandon a good theory because of a couple of facts?) and full of possibly correct but unfalsifiable trash like string theory and the supply and demand theory of prices. The mathematical formalism also shields the disciplines from deserved criticism. (though both have pockets of sanity)
