Physicists seem more interested in philosophy than mathematicians. Mathematicians are far more based in reality, they're more focused on making sure their model exactly replicates reality. The physicists only care about ball parking it and in general are more concerned with generally correct models. Why is this? I've seen from statistics comparing physics majors to mathematics majors, physics students have higher average intelligence quotient scores, higher verbal scores, and almost equal scores for mathematics. Does this correlate?
