>>14156740While you are technically correct, you missed the point. CB radio bands are regulated by the government but CB radios are widely available and most truckers already have them. The government can't call up Cobra or some other radio manufacturer and tell them to silence truckers. They can do that with cell phone manufacturers and with the cell service providers.
In the context in which the protests are happening in Canada, CB radios are free of government interference , unless the government wants to start actively jamming those channels. With tech companies, they can always pull a "oopsie, our servers were down". With CB they can't pull that trick. Jamming would be costly and obvious with no legitimate excuse.
