Floor division if you're looking for the thing that produces the complementary output.

If you're talking about a true inverse then there isn't one because it's a non-invertible operation.

modulus has no inverse operation, as it inherently implies information loss. Same with multiplication by zero, the operation loses information so there's no inverse, you can't divide by zero.

The multi-valued inverse would be f(a,k)={ck+a|c is an integer}. That is, the opposite of looking at a modulo k is taking the set of all integers which are equivalent to a modulo k.

You genuinely can't truly invert a non-bijective homomorphism. Yes there are pullback operations but they have to return a set instead of an element. That's why the set of elements modulo n, Z/nZ, is defined as n equivalence classes, not n integers. It partitions the whole number line into n sections.

Are there any other functions like this that are at all intelligable? Obviously one could imagine a function which spits random nonsense might be irreversible or at least something complex.
