It's good for thinking, but it's not very good for learning in the common sense, because it's hard to read being high: the flow from the inside will interfere with the flow from the outside (thoughts about what you've read will lead you away from the following text, and soon you may even realize that what you're forced to read is a bunch of crap or that your genuine interests lay in completely different field)

Negative overall, however just like most drugs, you may have some original creative thoughts while under the influence, so can be beneficial in that area, especially if you are an artist, musician, comedian, etc.
It is very unhealthy to smoke anything longterm, and weed is great at depression brain functions and making you dumber over time if you abuse it, but so are most all drugs.
