As a kid I hated the way these. Their wax had a very musky, oily scent that could be detected meters away. Our neighbor's garden was full of them and other weeds they didn't care to remove.

I hated the smell too. It's a fairly common weed. the plant contains a heavy dose of scopolmine which will give you a nasty trip, you won't remember a thing when you wake up. But the plant shows a lot of promise in treating curing cancer. Also since it crosses the blood brain barrier could it be used to kill brain eating amoebas?
