I hadn't heard of him until /sci/ started talking about him
I think he just gets attention from word of mouth
wikipedia says he started as an AI podcaster, based on his AI PhD from MIT
I guess he eventually got to talk to elon through his work on computer vision for self driving cars, and then snowballed that success into a general podcast and used that brand to get a wider range of guests

I remember seeing /biz/ posting him when he interviewed several crypto lead devs
