Why are they even allowed to call or mRNA? Only because it carries a coding sequence and has a poly A tail, that doesn't make it an mRNA alone. It is not transcribed by a nuclear polymerase. It did not come from a DNA gene. It did not come from a nucleus. It even carries nucleobases that do not occur naturally. It is not a real mRNA. It does not fulfill all naming criteria.
