As usual, there are always exceptions.
I think moonshiners like the term refluxing and chemical engineers use distillation or more commonly fractionation .
Its also used as a verb ie "this reflux action enhances separation of whatever you are trying to distill (separate)."
Probably didnt help. Now you have three terms to be confused about.
