depends on the science but lab work is preparation to get a higher degree then you get techs to do the lab work

Why would you suck at labs? Are you a delicate genius afraid of manual tasks? I witnessed such retardation at university. Some spic associated manual tasks with low class so refused to do labs. Pretty annoying.
