if you're too stupid to ask questions, watch some MIT lectures where literally the best qualified people in the world are asking questions

your prof is gonna give you material to learn and you just gotta worry about learning what they give you.. focusing on solving problems vs acquiring some deeper understanding is a good question and there will be moments where you feel like you have to know everything, or be able to discern where you should be in that moment, but ultimately your prof is giving you a lot of work, just keep up and worry about that other shit when you have free time

What's the class you'll be taking? If you're just taking a 100 level course its probably Intro to Mechanics/EM and depending on which variant of the class you're taking you may need to know Calc 1.

Sounds like a non-STEM major physics class, you probably won't need any calculus.
If it does show up it'll probably be introduced in lecture and probably won't go much beyond basic differentiation and integration.

From what you've told me you're essentially going to be given the "light" version of of an Intro physics course. You won't be doing the more involved subject material, like solving a determinate to find torque or angular momentum.

Maybe University Physics. I don't normally recommend it, but it covers all those topics and IIRC doesn't involve calculus (at least not much).
