For instance, if you are familiar with the Red Queen Hypothesis, it is closely related to the evolutionary dynamics governing changes in population level susceptibility to infectious disease, and the cyclical character of disease infection rate (e.g. observed in seasonal flu infection levels). Of course there are other variables too, and it is a very complex situation. Also, an immunologist would certainly know more about the biochemical and physiological mechanisms involved in infection and immunity, but an evolutionary biologist or a mathematical biologist would be able to tell you a lot more about the statistical and population-level effects of infectious disease and vaccination.
